Budecort 0.5 mg

Budecort 0.5 mg Respules 2ml is used to prevent asthma symptoms (wheezing and shortness of breath). It is a steroid and is known as “prophylaxis”. Since this drug cannot stop an asthma attack that has already started, a fast-acting “relaxant” is also needed.

The US brand is equivalent to Budecort Respules 0.5 mg.

Asthma

Asthma is a condition characterized by inflammation (swelling and redness) of the airways, which is characterized by difficulty in breathing. Budecort 0.5 mg Respules is used to prevent asthma symptoms such as difficulty breathing, chest tightness, wheezing and cough.

Croup

Croup is an infectious disease seen in children. It causes irritation and swelling of the upper respiratory tract, causing difficulty in breathing and a barking cough.

Take Budecort respules exactly as your doctor told you.

Carefully read the instructions for use of the nebulizer in the package leaflet provided with the nebulizer.

Do not stop taking Budecort without talking to your doctor, even if you feel better after a few doses.

Rinse your mouth after each use to prevent fungal infections and wash your face to avoid facial irritation.

Clean your nebulizer after each use following the directions provided.

Contraindications for Budecort 0.5 MG

if you are allergic to any component of Budesonide or Budecort Respules

Those with milk protein allergies

Budecort respules should not be used to treat asthma, an extreme asthmatic condition in which asthma attacks occur in rapid succession without pauses.

• Oral fungal infection
• Pneumonia
• Hoarseness of voice
• Cough
• Sore throat
• Change in taste

Storage and Disposal

• Store Budecort respules in their original packaging, protected from light and humidity.
• Keep the device tightly closed to protect it from moisture.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Antifungal medicines such as ketoconazole and itraconazole should not be taken with Budecort Respules.
• Anti-HIV drugs such as nelfinavir, ritonavir, indinavir and antibiotics such as clarithromycin should be avoided in combination with budecort repulse.
• The use of immunosuppressive drugs, such as cyclosporine, may increase the risk of infection in children and should be used with great caution.
• Other medications, including steroids and medications used for asthma management such as salbutamol, should be used with caution.

When not to use it?

Allergy

Avoid taking Budecort 0.5 MG Respules in case of allergies. Allergic reactions to this drug are very rare. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice symptoms of an allergic reaction such as rash, itching/swelling (face/tongue/throat), or difficulty breathing.

Asthmatic condition

Budecort 0.5 MG Respules is ineffective in the treatment of asthma (severe attacks of narrowing of the pulmonary airways) and is not recommended as first-line treatment.
